HP P1100 Shaking picture at high res!

Hi,

I've recently aquired a HP P1100 (Sony) 21" for free. At high res (1600 x 1200) the screen seems to have a shake/flicker on. It seems to stabilise if you lower the resolution. Has anyone had this problem before and know which bit needs playing with?

Many thanks,

Chris

There's probably nothing wrong with it; its just the display refresh rate is lower at higher resolutions and is therefore more noticable. If the refresh rate is 75hz or lower, it is very noticable with most people.

Following up my previous post, the recommended setting for this monitor is 1600x1200 @ 85hz refresh rate. It may be your display settings need setting from the 60hz default to 85hz (if your video card supports it)
