After a while the monitor starts blinking on and off. If I remove the signal cable, the message "cable not connected" stays stable all the time. Any idea what`s wrong?

usually the main problem was on your CPU maybe your video card, your memory and also your mainboard. check it out men you can do that.

The power actually does not flicker on and off, the monitor just goes black for a second and comes back on.. it flickers.. Sometimes it will work for 2 hours before a blink happens.. but it does get irritating after a while.. I have also had the monitor on 3 different computers and it still does the blink thing..The actuall monitor cord seems to be in mint condition too.. and have also switched power cords too. Can't find any help through AOC.. Thanks.. Gilbie..

Hi try to run it if you are not, at its recommended resolution so as it is not prescaling to fit the display.

See if the fault takes longer or does not appear.
