Hello Monitor works but has a bonded plastic filter???? on front of screen i need to remove this as discolours the pic if it is an anti glare screen is it good enough to get one of those clip on affairs after wards or can the plastic be bought????

some numbers from the case::

NEC FE750+ 100-120/220-240V~ 50/60Hz 1.3/0.6A (MODEL : JC-17W41)

at the bottom of rear sticker

MADE IN CHINA 720NP 15000831 LJ

CHASSIS ID Z87A

Thanks for all your help it looks like it's gonna be a bitch to sort out it is a good TCO99 Flat monitor so worth saving

What's the best e-book for novies, i wish i knew how to identify failing compnets and how on earth do you de/solder solder?????? Is there a good e-book on the subject or similar?
