* thats 4 monitors dead in three weeks

Hi,

It all started three weeks ago, brother complained his monitor was dead! Sure enough after checking it out I concluded it was pretty much bin fodder, green light came on but that was about it(that was a taxan ergo vision 19" about 3-4 years old), oh well I thought shit these things happen!

Next couple of days one of my colleagues I work closely with also had his home PC monitor die in much the same way, now this thing was an old Belinia 19" FST and about 7 years old to boot so was probably about ready to die, but coincidence none the less.

About a week passes then to my astonishment one of my nice 22" work PC monitors gives up the ghost, with a bang I might add (total system used 2* 22" iiyama 512 pro and an older CTX 17") now I start to get suspicious, but really what can I do! (monitor was only 3.5 years old)

The next week I come home and blow me my home iiyama pro 510 22" has copped it also but it was 4 years old so off to the bin.

Now all these 4 monitors have died in a suspiciously short timescale and were all different makes and ages not to mention my remaining two look like they are about to go to monitor heaven shortly.

So does anybody have any theories, is the earth passing too close to a black hole or maybe our sun is producing large magnetic waves from huge sunspots, or could it just be the military messing around with top secret weapons of mass destruction again?

So help or ideas appreciated, either way it looks like I am buying some TFTs!

Regards
Ben
