HP mx70 sudden death

Have a HP mx70 that died a sudden death. Was on-line & went dark with power on 'green' indication but screen dark. Remains that way. tried on different PC's with no change. Opened case & inspected fuse & 'obvious' clues w/no jumping out at me indications of what's up. Any experience similar? I am somewhat blind as I do not have access to a schematic for this device at present.
Regards,

Gordon

I forgot to add I was the one who had to make the designs work when first prototype was built.

I also have designed some monitor stages in a finished design that was sold worldwide.

Richard, you have designed the "square wheel"
Having 5 children in England?
I don't think so.
Families won't go for more than 2 or 3.
Your children are actually 35, 28, 26 and 23 years old.
You come to the forum because you are retired, have nothing to do, no sexual relation and no hope to get any better

Did it fade or instant blank and do you hear any of the usual noises during power on of the monitor.
