Dell D1028L is Dim.

I got a Dell D1028L with a dim/dark picture free from a friend. Would like to fix and use as a second monitor on my system. Any clues?

If it helps: Even though the picture is too dim to actually use, I can adjust brightness/contrast, etc., just won't go bright enough to use effectively.

Thanks

You will need to open the unit up and check the CRT heater voltage, if this is OK then adjust G2 for a brighter picture.

This unit if it is the Philips CM6800 suffers from failing FBT's
