Hi guys..I've had a Benq FP71E+ lcd monitor for 2 months...all was well until thursday when it just went blank...it doesn't go into standby, power led stays on.The problem usually occurs after about an hour of usage...The problem occurs on both DVI and d-sub cables...
When i restart the pc the benq logo comes on but after 1-2 seconds goes blank again...After half an hour of of turning it off and on it suddenly works again .Just before it goes blank it goes slightly darker then 1-2 seconds later is blank..... I've tried 3 video cards, different drivers and hooked the monitor up to a different pc with the same results.......any help would be much appreciated.....

The goes slightly darker is the clue, this is most likely a lamp going out, the unit then shuts down the inverter for protection.

Nothing to do with drivers or the PC but the monitor itself.

If it is under warranty then get them to fix it.

15" panels may have the lamp integral to the panel and are harder to replace and run the risk of damage to the panel, but larger panels tend to be rear illuminated and in theory are easy to replace.
