LG CRT 17" Flat Screen Model FB795CU LED light Kept flashing & beeping, soon as apply the main power. When open the unit found short big black diod in the rail supply, with mark 55 on it! Did not know what brand it is. So I was wondering what causes this short to this particular diod?
Measuring other power fets, and line out put transistors, also supply transistor, reading ok!

I'd like to have a schematic if possible as well.

Diod Location is D714 Next to the J307.
I'd like to know its real value as well if possible.

Thanks for the response.

However I must add that this particular diode I replaced Recently. and managed to get the monitor up & running.
BUT, I just realized that I don't get video, when hocked- up my laptop on it, and seem also I may have east-west problem as well, due to bent line on left & right section of the screen.
It was noticeable, because I've got the OSD running on the screen to adjust the setting,

I must also mention that the same diode after 5-10 minute gone short ageing along with the 2SJ 306.

It seems to be something causing the downfall of the D714 SL260 & Q709 2SJ306

Hi there, I just checked the C715 for ESR, It wasn’t shorted, but it seems to me the only causes that I currently experiencing is that set have no video. cannot view image when connected to the computer.

Question remains if jungle IC is ok or not?
