Hello, I have an AlleyStar "17 lcd monitor. I unhooked everything from my computer when work was being done in my room and then about a month later plugged the monitor back in and the only thing that happens is a series of 3 patterns appear every 5 sec or so. First pattern are thick lines of colors Red, Green, and Blue, the next one is grey checkers, and the last one is grey lines. I monitor did not get damaged in anyway for it was stored away properly and I tried it on multiple computers. Another thing is that the controls on the monitor do not fuction at all. What could this be?? The monitor is only 8 months old and I really would hate to have to buy another one of these. Thanks for you Help.
Mac

PS. AlleyStar does not have any technical support

Hi

It sounds as though the monitor is in self test mode or it has no signal input or eeprom contents erased.

Try to hold down any button button when you power on from the mains not the front power switch this may bring it out of self test.

But as it is only 8 months old check warranty.

Rich
