Subject monitor flashes on for approx. 0.5 seconds and then - ..........
--- Could/would someone:

1 - Provide solution to this problem.
2 - Supply schematic & or service manual.(a web source will suffice)
3 - Schematic with service manual and repair procedure would be MOST appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jim

I've got the same problem. Removing one of the backlight connectors causes it to run twice as long (almost one second) before cutting out. Perhaps the power supply is sensing overcurrent or is losing regulation and shutting down. No obviously blown parts. Removing both backlight connectors results in continuous, "proper" operation, but it's hard to see the screen!

There is more than one manufacturer that provides the chassis for this model.

i.e. FP7317 P9622A PE1231 = Tatung

The most common proble is the inverter on the Tatung but I have had low value caps on the output of the psu also.

For product number P9622A, replacing cap C810 and C813 (1000uF at 16V) resolved my problem.
