Hi all,
I see in this forum that iiyama monitors suffer from what you guys call tripping.
I have a MT-9221 I would like to repair it.
Symptoms are;- now and then the monitor (Vision Master Pro 500) would not start.
I removed the plug and tested the fuse then replaced the plug and the monitor would work.
Finally after 6 months of this once a month oddity the monitor would only start now and again.
I now know it had nothing to do with lead or plug!
I tried leaving it on with no picture, but now it makes a noise but will not fire up.
It seems to be in permanent sleep mode with the power light on.
What values resistance should I place in a lead to make the 25k tub voltage safe before touching anything? Should the safety lead be attached to the earth of a 13amp (uk) plug with no 250v ac leads attached?
Or should I find the zero volt section of the power supply?
Can someone supply a circuit diagram of this monitor?
From reading many forums it seems the fault could be the Fly Back Transformer or the Secondary power supply caps or 2SC5570.
Thanks in advance for any help given.
