My monitor is turning on and off repeatedly. When I turn it on it will turn itself off every 2 seconds or so. The connection with the computer seems to be fine. Is there any way to fix this easily, or should I just cut my losses and get a new monitor?

I left it on for several hours yesterday when it started happening and it never worked. I unplugged it last night and when I tried it again today, it will turn on for a few seconds and then turn off and won't come back on.
