I recently picked up an old arcade machine which appears to work fine except for the monitor.
When powered up the line output transformer sits there making a fizzling sound without much activity on screen.
After a deep search of the net I found a replacement line output transformer and replaced the fizzling one.
Unfortunately when I powered up the new one started making fizzling sounds too.
I need a bit of direction pointing on what to check next, I have test kit and electronic repair experience so can do the work but unfortunately some ignorance when it comes to monitors.
