I've recently aquired a Viewsonic n1700w LCD HDTV display that has some isssues. First, I have it hooked up to my computer via analog connector (VGA) and when I go to the osd menu, I can see where the menu should be, blacked out square, but can't see options. Same osd issues persist when DVI/component modes are selected. I can view desktop only when I crank up contrast to full. When I am in tuner or composite modes, I can see options on osd, but can't see tuned channel even though I crank up the contrast. No apparent color in tuner/composite modes. I think the contrast issue can be corrected if I replace inverter brd, but have no idea about the osd. If anyone has a copy of service manual, and/or has some insight on osd/contrast issues, please reply asap.
