No power on Dell W2600 LCD-TV

Hello, I've tried locating a replacement powersupply for my Dell LCD TV with no success. When I hit the powerbutton I hear a click, but nothing comes up on the screen nor does the green/amber lights come on. When I hit the powerbutton again to turn off I hear a click. I took it in to have it diagnosed and they confirmed it was the powersupply, but they wanted $550.00. For $200 more Dell will send me a refurb. I just want to replace the powersupply and maybe pickup an inverter board as well to have spare. If anyone can point me in the right direction or give me some suggestions, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks!

I'm having the same problem, but fortunately mine is still under warranty. I've found that if I remove power from the TV for a few hours, then it will come back on. This is the second time it's happened.

Mine did the same and it eventually died. I've found a place that gave me an estimate to have it repaired. Instead of replacing the whole part, he will fix it at the component level. He gave me an estimate of $230.

Mine also is doing the same thing. When I first got the unit 4 months ago brand new I couldn't get it to turn off with signals on the DVI, Aerial, Scart and PC VGA. Now if I turn it off it stays off and won't come back on. If I hold the power button I get a click from the switch mode PSU but the blue light doesn't come on. I have to resort to uplugging the thing from the mains for 10-15 mins and then plugging back in. Then there is no guarantee that that is long enough.

I will contact Dell but I think they will refer me to the reseller first !! So frustrating

It sounds like defective capacitors which should be quite a cheap repair. Any competent electronics repairer should be able to replace these without too much trouble.

I've had 6-7 w2600 do the same thing under warranty, they now are replacing it with a new 32" since the new 26" don't have PIP POP etc. I hope this doesn't carry a whole new set of problems. I did buy the 4 year warranty, I've had it/them 6

Also had a colour refresh problem on 2 of them, go blue to red tint on refresh really annoying.months

Alan, I took my monitor to this place: http://fixmymonitor.com/lcdtvrepair.htm
It's been almost a month now and he has not been able to fix it. He has determined that it's not the powersupply and could be the (forgot name) board. He said that he also has another 5 of these with the same issues and if he fixes one of them, then he will be able to fix the rest. Basically, I've given up hope with him and will call him to let him know I will take it else where. I will let him know that the problem should lay somewhere with the capacitors and hope it will help him, otherwise I give up
