Black vertical line

Hi-

I’m trying to get information on a NEC MultiSync LCD 1880SX monitor.

Issue: about 1 month ago the NEC fell off a display stand. The housing and all external casings appear fine. However, now there is a black vertical line about 1/4 inch thick down the center of the screen. The rest of the display seems normal.

Question: Is it worth trying to fix this problem? If so, Are there any specialized tools needed and what degree of technical proficiency is required?

Thanks for any suggestion or help advice.

You need a soldering iron and the ability to solder and a magnifying glass and probably a multimeter as well. you probably cracked something inside so its a strip and search job.
