Take the ultor cap off the tube (make sure its discharged) and read from the lead to chassis on meg ohms, bet it has a reading if so flyback has gained its wings.

Thanks alot Richard.. just what I was looking for. As for the Flyback, no reading from the Cap so that seems fine but still no joy hunting around with the freeze spray either. Any other ideas are most welcome
Thanks

OK.. Replaces a couple of 470uF 250v Capacitors that were starting to bulge.. Now I still get green led and a very very quiet ticking noise comming from the board. Any one know what that could be? Still no picture tho. :-/
Thanks very much.

I DID send the $10.. the e-commerce company confirmed it. Also, Abu Bakar...is that your name? Abu Bakar Bashir is a terrorist in our country.. very poor taste for a nick.. he was behind the Bali Bombing killing 18 of my countrymen. Have a nice day.
