Hi Everybody

My Sony FW900 screen has turned magenta/purple i think the green gun isn't firing anymore.

I've tried a different cable and that doesn't work, I've tried the image restoration function and uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics card drivers without any luck.

Any sugestions anyone?

Most monitors have a no data screen so what I do is dont plug in the data lead you usually then get a screen saying no data check your lead. If that is wrong then its usually on the tube base, check the cathodes are the same voltage if not Ie green is 200V red/ blue 120V its unlikely to be the tube but the drive.

Failure of the video IC in this Sony G1-W chassis is common. Its an Hitachi IC can't remember the part number though. It will be something like FA4301.
