I have an Acer AL711 LCD monitor with a problem. It has no contrast but the OSD has contrast. I tried to change it from the monitor menu and it did not work. When I tried to change the color temperature from user to 9300 the monitor goes black, this also happens when I tried 6500, 7500.
When I use the recall or auto adjust function the monitors contrast works for the time it needs to auto adjust and then it stops working again.
I tried to: change the signal cable, used DVI signal, removed the connectors from inside the monitor to se if it’s a contact problem, used different refresh and resolution. Everything was ok.
Is the changing of the monitors control board cheap?
Anyone has any suggestions on what to do?
