I am dealing with a dell E151fpb,15 inch lcd, the screen will turn completely white at times, but when I disassemble it everything checks out, the fuse is good, the cable ohm's out ok, so I tried powering it up with the case open, and it worked fine, put it back together, and an hour later the screen went white, powered it down, and back up screen was clear for another hour, this is turning out to be a comedy, does any one have a direction to point me in, anything would be helpful

Hi remove the ribbon cable that goes to the panel and refit it.

I think these suffer from either heat creap or similar.

If the cable does not help, a common problem with these units is heat-related failure of the logic board or the electronic in the panel it's self. If this is the case, replacement of the effected assembly is the only solution, you basically have to change one and see if it fails again, or break out the heat gun and freeze spray and hope you can duplicate the failure at will. The power supply could be failing also, check the caps for any sign of bulging or leaking.
