This can be caused by the black level bias resistors or the video IC FA4111, check cathode DC levels with a blank rastor with sync signal.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your reply.

Would you please tell me in detail something:

1. Where is Black Level Bias Resistor?

I have checked the Cathode DC voltage, RED & BLUE are same but GREEN has double voltage.

I have checked more the capacitor C215 the voltage on one side of Capacitor is similar to C315 but other leg double voltage as compare to C315. I tried to change the capacitor C215 but the result is the same. Also on R220 & R221 has double voltage as compare R320 & R321.

I have checked ICFA4111 here the voltage are equal on RGB pins.

I hope you understand the point of problem as i am not familar with monitor repairing but i hope your assistance would be helpful to me.

Regards,

Sakaz

Check R230 & R237 I had bad joints on one of mine.

For a circuit diagram you can search for Sony N3 chassis.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your reply. I have checked as per your instruction R230 and R237 also R234 and R236 too but they are OK joint.

I have gone through the Sony N3 Chassis Diagram and checked the voltages as they mentioned Blue and RED voltages are same but Green are high.

Q306 (blue) and Q106 (red) = (E) 129VDC (B) 128VDC they are OK.

Q206 (Green) = (E) 170VDC (B) 169VDC why they are high volt?

---------
Alao
---------

R320 & R321 -------> C315 (129VDC)
R120 & R121 -------> C115 (129VDC)

R220 & R221 -------> C215 (170VDC) ...... Why they are high?

I have replaced C215 & R220 & 221 but result is the same.

I also checked its Self Test by pressing RIGHT KEY and Turn on the POWER BUTTON and AFTER 2 SECOND i got Information Display is showing:

1. WHITE (not pure white but redish)
2. RED is RED (OK)
3. GREEN is BLACK
4. BLUE is BLUE (OK)

Hope to understand the condition to reply me.

Sakaz

Check the voltages on IC410 pins

3 Red cut off
4 Green cut off
5 Blue cut off.
