My monitor was working fine until about 4 months ago. I went out of town for a couple of days and when I came back, I noticed that our neighborhood had a power outage. After resetting all of my clocks, I turned my computer on to check my email. My monitor power light was on while the computer was booting up, but the screen had what Dell refers to in their manual as a "ripped" screen. The screen will jump and skip repeatedly. If I push the auto configuration button and degass buttons over and over eventually the monitor will correct itself in the analog mode and stay normal as long as I don't let it sit to long and go into hibernation. Can someone please give me advise on what might be the problem? I am skilled with a solder iron and meter so detailed instructions would be helpful.
