My 19" LCD monitor screen recently suffered an accidental surface trauma. Impact was slight, and the thermoplastic surface itself was not pentrated or scratched. But the screen now has permanent vertical lines of blue pixels migrating slowly up and down the screen from a point about two thirds down from the top, which seems to be the point of contact..
Can anyone recommend a supplier who stocks Iiyama parts such as LCD screens
Is replacement really an economical repair? (The monitor is about 6 years old, but has been an excellent piece of kit)..
Thanx

Thanks for your response.. I feared that was going to be the case since the umpteen searches that I did looking for Iiyama components, came up with zilch... at least as far as UK is concerned. There are several send-away-for-repair possibilities in UK, but none economically viable.. Particularly annoying because I can do the replacement myself quite easily if I could get hold of the components. As you say e-Bay is a possibility, and I am keeping a look-out there... Nothing doing at the moment, but that can always change.. The Iiyama is not a particularly responsive monitor, so wouldn't be a first choice for MM and graphics type of work.. and is very difficult to colour calibrate anyway.. But it is an excellent workhorse in all other respects and is beautifully constructed. It has been the general purpose monitor on my 3 x PC LAN for the last 5-6 years, and I am reluctant to let it go for recycling until all possibilities are exhausted...
Cheers, George
