I have a pair of these monitors, with which I am having some problems, and would appreciate some help in diagnosing the fault.
I have checked the forum archive, and cannot find a solution - but I appologise if I have not looked hard enough.
The first monitor gives a bright flash every now and again, and finally the horizontal scan failed completely and the picture was displayed as a vertical line in the centre of the screen. Upon turning the monitor on and off several times the horizontal scan started up again, but the monitor still flashes every now and again.
The second monitor exhibited the same faults, but now the screen is permanently a vertical line, I suspect that it is the same fault, just a bit further down the line!
I have the monitor schematics, and am reasonably practical, but could you please suggest which components could be at fault.
