Ronald F. Walker, 74, of Lake Villa, IL passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 10, 2007.

He was born on February 2, 1932 in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late William and Alice Walker. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He grew up on the family farm in Lake Villa, currently the site of Victory Lakes. He owned and operated Walker Sewer Construction Co. He was an avid snowmobiler and a member of the Northeast Illinois Association of Snowmobilers.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna (Rick) of Fox River Grove; brother, Oliver (Laura) Walker of Lake Villa; and sisters, June (Richard) Grutzmacher of Florida and Marge Lucas of Libertyville.

He was preceded in death by his son, William; his brothers, George, William and Edward.

Funeral Services will be 8:15 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2007, at RINGA Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Rte. 83) Lake Villa, IL with Rev. Lisle Kauffman officiating. Private Interment. Visitation, Friday, January 12, 2007 at 4 p.m. until the time of service at 8:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Lake Villa Fire Department of the American Cancer Society. Ron will be missed by all club members for many reasons. He had so much to do with all facets of operating the clubs work load. I'm not sure how we will carry on with out his help. He was a very generous member and supplied all to much of the equipment needed to run the club. He holds a special place in my heart, Barrie

"Walker" was hard on the outside with heart of gold. He was a good friend to snowmobiling and anyone that knew him. I am proud to call him my friend. I will miss him

I didn't know Ron before joining this club, but consider myself fortunate to have known him. He was quite the "character" and Amy and I enjoyed the time we spent with him. Lots of memories in a few short years. Thanks Ron.
