The problem is the change in coaching expectations from last year, I believe they are not holding the players accountable as tight as last year. (long shifts, stupid penalties) This year every player knows they do not have to perform every night because it will not change their role in the line-up. Last year, if a player stepped up and dropped the gloves he was moved up in the line-up and played the power play. Examples are Cameron and Ahlen. This year I have not noticed a player being brought up for good play or sitting for hurting the team on the ice. Another thing that bothers me, is Ennis will not put his stick on the ice for a face off (lays is on his knees). I now have seen Gal start to do it. Might not hurt 999 times but the one time it does. Hope they can turn it around; it sure is a bad time to be slumping.
