Hello group,

I must be insane but I have sort of talked myself into considering a scratch MV Britannic project, to be constructed alongside my current Britannic project. This would be a 1:600 project however.

I have some basic reference material I obtained from Liverpool University, most of this however is on the historical side. Does anyone know where, if possible, I could obtain deck plans for this ship? A search on Google didn't find much

With regards,
Russell (The Debris Field)

Britannic Plans

January 13 2002, 11:33 AM

The Dromedary Ship Modeler's Center in Texas lists a set of Britannic plans in their catalog.

Mineature Merchantmen, 1:600 scale, plan# MM625, Britannic of 1930, 718 feet. Plans are drawn by R. Carpenter.

I tried to order this plan a year or so ago, and it was out of stock. The person I talked to said that supplies of these plans are are hit and miss. I think the plan series came from the U.K. so you may be able to fing a set on your side of the pond. (If so, please let us know where.)

Hello Scott:

Thanks for the tip. The name and number you supplied should give me a good start, even though I currently don't know where to look over here. I will look around and let you know of any developments. I'm sure if I were able to obtain a set, I could send you a copy to save you a job.

Regards,

2B B3 or not 2B - that is the model question!

Hi Russ,

Here is a picture of a small 1:1250 scale B3 you might enjoy from the Steel Navy site.

Good luck with your B3 project!

Cheers, Mike

MV BRITANNIC III ..... good luck on your research

October 8 2003, 3:57 PM

I was looking around for the MV BRITANNIC III deck plans around 6 to 10 months ago just for fun . not to construct a model any way. just to satesfy my own curiositty , just because it was the last White star liner built 1930 , I know some if not most of the history about her and the Georgic. I may not be able to find out any info about it but I was informed, the University of Liverpool's achives would have the deck plans, I was given a womens name to speak with and write too , I never pursued this any further I'm not sure I could find the name now . feel free to e-mail me for any reason, Mark at Haas1919@aol.com good luck on your search. The MV BRITANNIC III was trully an interesting ship
