1/250 Amati Titanic and p/e sets

October 10 2003, 6:12 PM

Hello Fred,

Thanks a lot for posting this important news regarding p/e sets for the 1/250 Amati Titanic kit.

I have been collecting the 1/250 Amati Titanic kit ever since it came out here in Portugal. Almost done, this monday #93 (of 100) will be available.

I will keep the kit for later. Maybe one day I will assemble it.

The Mini Brass p/e sets look very nice. Are they based on your own design or are they independent to the (BTW: great)p/e sets you are offering? Please let us know.

The Amati 1/250 Titanic is definitely a great kit to start with (even though it needs a lot of improvement -especially regarding the printed paper bulkheads and the plastic benches.

I checked your site again. Thanks a lot for the updates. Great material!

Your site and Mark's site are not only of great help but definitely indispensable for the serious modeler building the 1/250 Amati Titanic kit, either as in-a-box or step-by-step, the latter as offered by Hachette Publications.

URL to your site:

URL to Marks's site:
http://www.buildthetitanic.co.uk/

I would like to add that on Fred's (=your) Links page (check first URL) many more useful links can be found.

Thanks again Fred and all the best

Christian (co-webmaster The Debris Field)

Hi Christian,
Thanks very much for your comments!
Yes, these etchings are the ones I already designed, but now available in smaller sets and in several scales.
As you might have noticed, I also achieved the step by step page of "this is not a scale" (it took long though!)
(Please contact me by mail, my HD blew up at least three times since last time we mailed to each other)
Best regards
Fred

Hello Fred,

Well I'm afraid I don't know your postal (snail mail) address. I would be happy if you could forward your address via email:

I am most interested in your (and Mini Brass) p/e sets for the 1/350 Amati T.

Best
