I don't dislike the blue paint scheme matching the France/Norway. I don't like the added decks giving it that "holiday resort" look. Yet there is a possibility that Mike's "prophecy" will become a reality.
Mike Cook's artwork: excellent
The fact that "our" Big U might turn out like this: not encouraging, the price for her preservation (looking like a clown) would be way too high and I would prefer to see her decaying in dignity.
I<d rather see her to look like that than to see her decay into a pile of nothing If she is alowed to decayinto something that is less than herself what good was her life what good were the acievements in meritime history what good is will to stand up to the testiments of time mother nature has thrown every thing it could at her but she still stands strong and proud her interiors gutted her turbines seized her whistles her voice silenced She still looks like her
self even with those additions she was built to sail proudly not to sit and decay and by golly sh'll sail even if they do add those decks to her underneath that bluer paint and those modern steel tubing and sheetmetal aditions with their drywalled ceilings she is still the ship we love The SS. United staes a country that forgot her
Can anyne get some good moving images of the SS united sates' folkseland some of her decks for My Raise the Britannic Movie
And could Some one super impose a colorised photo of the britannic against footage of new york harbor and Layer the Orginal sound track For RTT in there too
