A new Gallup poll came out two days ago in USA today, and for the first time more Americans that not (51%) believe Bush DELIBERATELY deceived and misled this country into the war in Iraq.

(Don't worry BTF, you're not alone. 47% are still as stupid as you are)

Not that Bush went to war. He started out great but then turned our troops into police. As soon as we destroyed Iraq we should have turned left into Syria and then a hard right into that crap hole Iran.

These despotic religious wackos need to be sponged from the earth, and that lying POS Bush is the biggest wacko of them all. In reality Bush is exactly the same as all these mooslums, they think they are acting like idiots because they are being told to by an invisible spaceman that never shows himself or offers any proof of his existance. But these folks talk to him every day.

Congress...

Congress is the body that actually placed the United States into war status. Not Bush. This means two things:

1. Americans are ignorant of our own government system.
2. The Gallup poll needs to rewrite the question correctly.

Maybe both.

Is that right?

So you're saying congress misled us into war? That's a new one, because the way I remember it, this was Bush's crusade and I really can't imagine congress addressing, let alone passing, any resolutions of going to war with Iraq sans the Bush campaign.

From what I understand congress merely "authorized" the action. I don't remember them doing any "leading" into war.

But if you're worried about semantics maybe the fair question is: "Did Bush deliberately mislead congress into war?"

Nah, that's not it...

The fairer question might be:

"Did Bush deliberately mislead congress into war after he'd misled 70 percent of the people into believing Iraq had something to do with 9-11 and Iraq was on the verge of nuclear weapons? (And don't forget, congressman, you're up for election in no more than two years...your constituents may not have learned the truth by then.)"

...that the American people can learn:

Just out yesterday, Bush approval rating at an all-time low, 44%.

Any bets on whether or not he breaks into the 30s before he leaves office?

Does it matter how popular he really is? aslong as he has his core supporters do you really think it'll make him leave office I doubt it.

One day minds will be reset.

I'd like to see poll results showing zero support for Bush and zero belief in anything Bushco has dished out, it would help restore my lost faith in my fellow Americans being able to smell what politicians shovel in their faces.

I'm not holding my breath.

This has been a five year long nightmare, and it's not over yet. God only knows what lies ahead with Dubya at the helm. Just judging from what's already behind us, the road ahead doesn't look too good.

39 percent and dropping...

Latest Gallup poll puts Bush's approval rating at 39 percent and slipping. Are these people starting to see the light?

I'm still betting on less than 30 percent by the time he leaves office.

I have to disagree with the belief that Bush "lied" about intell.

I served in both the Marines and Navy over the past 20 years and I have seen the same information that has come out in various intell reports. The first time I saw the intell was when President Clinton's staff was having "town meetings", trying to muster support for going to war with Iraq. Remember the asprin factory we launched a $1million cruise missle against? Nope, all the Communist News Network (CNN)focused on was that damn blue dress. Looking back now, the blue dress incident was a non-issue.

Lets learn from the past, focus on bigger issues that are on the horizon. Like... where are all those WMDs???? They did/do exist.

Congress was given the same intell as Bush. They as usual saw that the american people wanted retribution, they made the decision to go. Did Bush lead the parade? Yep thats what his job was. Blame the CIA for not representing the data accurately. Almost no elected officials are experts at interpreting intel thats why we have the CIA. What turns my stomach is the whimps in congress crying I didn't know or Bush misled me. They saw what he saw... Besides that we've killed more terrorists in 3 years than we did in 8 years of Clinton.
I know we should have fired a million dollar missle at an empty house or an asprin factory. That would have shown Bin laden we meant business.

Bin laden must be laughing himself sick. He has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams in turning Americans against Americans and leading us into a trap {Iraq} that we are going to have great difficulty getting out of.
