This world no longer has time to mess around with political nonsense. That does not mean we Americans don't want to hear candidates "attacking" one another on very relevant matters. We need to hear them. We are listening.

Don't underestimate the Neocons. Their top minds are sharp, very well educated. In order to push forward their "versions of reality", they have successfully embedded convenient loopholes in written laws in an ongoing effort to erode, and ultimately dismantle, necessary checks and balances designed to protect this country against tyranny and the reign of unchecked corrupted power. Its a very complicated technical feat they have accomplished. One that requires very deep knowledge and understanding of law. With it, they have successfully neutered Congress, and have politicized the Judiciary branch.

Not all Neocons are this sharp, obviously. Some are just wackos with wacko ideas, who've attached themselves to the neocon bandwagon, interested in lining their pockets as much as possible, as fast as possible. Its a real problem that permeates throughout this ruined government of ours.

Do you believe the Clintons will actually restore what we have lost? Bring back real checks and balances? The Clintons have shown they answer to unchecked corporate greed; to the "interests of the shareholders", which convieniently correlate to the size of bonus checks and payoffs to corporate lobbying conmen/conwomen & their crony friends, of whom are intentionally deeply embedded within our government. Bucking their system, cutting off their illegal cash flow, requires "real" effective change.

We need to shake the lice & leaches out. We need to stomp them with a twist of the foot; to stop them in their tracks. And be certain they are stopped. They will retaliate hard and violently - be ready for that.

We need a President capable of supreme strength of character - one with a real moral fortitude. One guided by a real, geniune moral compass. Not some shallow salesman/saleswoman political opportunist who panders to the religous right with condescendingly, overly simplistic, often childish, world views. We need someone with a proven track record of fighting unchecked corporate power & the underlying people driving that corruption. It is this unchecked corporate power that is now destroying the sustainability of this world's biosphere, as it has evolved over
billions of years, to what it is now that we recognize as "home" (if you "believe in science").

Is there any merit to the useless media's claim that we Americans are "sick and tired of the mudslinging?" Are we really that fragile? Are we really that oblivous? Are we really that dumb? I don't think so. Despite the garbage thrown at us from 24 hour "news" channels and the buffoons on talk radio, enough of us understand what is at stake here. The future well-being of America, and this world, is at stake.

We cannot afford to continue allowing corrupted corporate cronies embedded in our government to steer this country, and with it, the world, into a grim, physically unbearable future.

I believe, in this moment in time, only John Edwards or Barrack Obama have a real chance of achieving the changes necessary to accomplish this extremely difficult feat - to stop the bleeding; to end this out-of-control corruption permeating in far too many facets of our government. We need serious people, with serious minds, with serious commitment, to guide this country, and the world, into a bearable future. We need them basing their decisions upon the scientific method, and nothing else. These two need to be protected from those who would silence them. We need a President that will put a serious team in charge that ensures both foreign AND domestic enemies are persued, caught, tried, and justly punished - regardless their official positions in both foreign governments, and our own damaged (but repairable) government, including their innappropriatly close corporate friends currently operating above the law.

Its time to end the out of control corruption. Its time to correct course into the future.

I agree absolutely with everything you just said. But there is one problem, these solutions do not lie in a president. Ask yourself what exactly is the role of a president?

These solutions lie in a Senator and Respresentative. They do not and never will lie in the hands of a president under the current constitution of the united states. What is it you hope Edwards or Obama will do? Are they gonna fire the whole congress in order to get rid of corporate invasion into politics? They don't have that power.

Now ask your self who will be the most likely to be able to stand before a corrupted congress and persuade them to make changes in laws in order to benefit the american people? Remember these people are not interested in your welfare, nor or they persuaded by heartfelt message and appeals to emotions. Most of them are only interested in keeping their fortune and power. They will only do what benefits them and their interests AND at the same time makes it seem as if they are helping their voters.

I understand your frustrations, I am middle class too, I feel the economy going down. My savings are dwindling and I am having to live pay check to pay check, but Hope alone will not change anything.

The current state of our congress and the laws they pass won't be thwarted by a president unless they appeal to them not you. I can make you all the promises in the world, but my promises mean nothing to another senator in another county whos only interest is in his contributors.
