Good news, is you have found one of the best possible sources for 2100/4100 parts available, a bit pricey but John will have what you need.
Other sources to try would be Gabriel from Carburetor Specialist (gt@carbspec.com) He is also an excellet source.
The bad news is in 1964 was the first year for this nylon linkageand of course in 1964 was a very unique one that actually had the arm lever sort of on top not coming straight out like 1965 and later. The real bad news is these constantly break, almost EVERY carburetor I see anymore this is broken. It changed over in 1965, so make sure you have and are installing the correct one. Most times the 65 and up ones are clear or brownish yellowish (depending upon age) whereas the 64 version is solid color (black, brown, even seen some red and blue ones)(I have also seen a very few clear though so be careful)
The real good news is there is a person on E-bay who is selling brand new ones, he has had them remade and they are going for about 1/2 the price. He only shows up about once every two months though. Of course the other real great news is any 2100 carb has the exact same part, and there is a boatload of 2100 carbs out there that are dirt cheap. It might be possible depending on how good of scrounger you are to pick up a whole 2100 carb for 5.00 or under. Just watch out for the broken ones on these as well.
Now that wasn't so bad was it?????
Good Luck,
