Ok my 62 ford galaxie ran great all summer on the rebuild 4100 i did myself(thanks Mr White and forum members). It started on the first pump every time. The 390 is completly rebuilt & everything is new except the fuel pump.I had a real B*&^H of a time putting in the starter with the long tube headers & would hate to have to install another starter due to all the excessive cranking this winter. It seems the fuel bowl runs dry or the gas in the bowl evaporates or leaks back thru the bad fuel pump. I usually start it up to take it for a spin weather permitting, But this car just cranks& cranks& cranks NO START. The choke is closed but i dont smell gas. A shot of starter fluid & she fires back up and stalls(no gas in bowl Yet?I pulled the 4100 & put on a brand new Holley 4160 600 cfm manual choke to see if it made a difference and same thing. CRANK<CRANK<CRANK!Im gonna change the fuel pump & see if it helps. Please HELP. Thanks Mike
