Rebuilding my Carter AFB 9755s. I had a check ball fall out from somewhere when I turned the carb over near end of disassembly. My two schematics with the rebuild kit do NOT show a check ball anywhere that it fell out from. There is a checkball in the schematic labeled pump intake ball but I have yet to find that little (fill in the blank). I think I know which is the pump intake passage plug but the schematics don't say anything about drilling or prying out the plug and I am not removing the plug without a new plug in the kit. Forget I mentioned that, unless you can help me out there.
Anyway, I think I have figured it out where the check ball fell from. There is a new pump discharge needle in my kit (Part #37). I didn't find one of those during disassembly. I did find a tiny brass cylinder under my pump jet. I did NOT notice if there was a check ball under that at the time, but I am now thinking there was. I took a picture of my new pump discharge needle (#37) beside the tiny brass cylinder I found.

In the picture I put the check ball below the tiny brass cylinder. Is this the original setup? I can kind of see how the new one piece pump discharge needle (#37) could do the same thing as the check ball in a cone shaped bore. I am just trying to confirm this is where the check ball fell from. The two different schematics I got are lousy and have numerous misprints and parts I haven't been able to locate. It is a Walker kit, I have a phone call into there Tech dept. but unless I get the right guy, well you know.
I'm just trying to put this thing together right the first time. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.
