Response to 2100 no numbers

There should definetly be numbers on the drivers side front foot.
You have the small type accelerator pump which means your card is post 1964. Are the overflow post made of brass or are they cast into the top cover.

The hole in the top makes perfect sense, they used that on later carb 66-70's for evapration controls and sometimes it was blocked sometimes used with a flapper operated with the accelerator pump arm.

Not to worry about the kit ALL 2100 KITS ARE IDENTICAL, no matter what engine or application, 1958-1974.
Its really only till you get to the 2150's (1971 and on thru the 80's) that the kits changed, at that point they used differing gaskets and booster arrangements along with pull-offs and other emmission stuff. :o) You are using the motorcraft CT-499D kit right.........

Again as far as the number, First look at the clock on the side right above the accelerator rod, what number is there? Then look directly below that, onto the side of the foot, it might be dirty or in the case of a latter carb lightly stamped but ther should be some sort of numbers there. Might only be three but they should be there.
