Ummmm......

I use something a whole lot stronger than chem-dip and I leave my carbs in for at least a week.

In my opinion though the autolites are made of superior metal than some of the other carb makes (carter for example).

You should always check the porisity or the carb body or parts, and if to porous, or has been sitting and corroding for a while either watch it or use other means to clean it.
