I picked up a 2100 with EDB markings on the PS of body. It seems to be a 1957 model, and has a few things different than other 2100s. Like no indication of venturi size, a long cap on the acccelerator pump with linkage on the front lever going up to a little lever on the front bowl cover, a plug on the PS of bowl which looks like a sight plug, no brass overflow tubes, and a generally different looking body casting.
What is the purpose of the lever on the top of the bowl? Should it be kept, or eliminated? Was this a 1.02 venturi or something else. 1957 was Ford's performance year for the Y's so maybe it flows more.
Wouldnt this carb be the first of the 2100 series? | |
