I am confused???? Automatic vs stickshift carbs. Kickdown linkage on the throttle shaft is what I hear is necessary. Here is a picture of the throttle shaft bracket on my stock 65 Mustang, automatic w/ 2100 carb. I have learned that the actual kickdown linkage for my car is done via a seperate assembly that is mounted on the intake behind the carburetor, ie, no special bracket on the carb's throttle shaft. Here is a picture.
The picture below is from a C5ZF-C, which is supposed to be a 4100 carb from a 65 Mustang stick shift. Please explain the additional bracket on the throttle shaft.
Here is another picture of a C5ZF-C. Note the difference in the throttle shaft brackets + the inclusion of a dashpot. Both of these picture came in a series that verified the carb numbers.
