Yes, I meant the clip that hooks around the needle button and clips (slides) over the float tang.

I took it off but this 4100 still flooded, this time out of both bowls again. It's a real nuisance when they do that on the road, each red lite seems like an eternity.

I've never had a 4100 flood like this, new needle&seats, no holes in the floats, all clean - doing same thing on 2 different cars even.

I'm convinced there's a little mouse or gremlin inside the fuel inlet passage running back and forth holding the needles open just for a laugh. Maybe two of them.
Any ideas?
