floats etc..........

.......plastic floats are the replacement for the brass ones. You can still get these from Ford yet.

As far as the brass dams go, they are there to restric the flow from the balance slot in the carb.

I've ran carbs without these with no apparent problems.

I tend to reuse brass floats but only after a leak test, as they tend to spring leaks.
