I was comparing a few 2100's today, one of which had a manual choke. I noticed on that carb the main body had only two of the three usual choke mounting bosses. Not broken or machined off but all together absent from the casting. Is it typical for manual choke carbs to have a different main body than hot air choke versions? Thanks.

They are different, and consequently the manual mechanism will not fit on the ones that are not cast for it.
Nor will they fit the 4100, and there are not very many 4100's cast that way, only the hi-po 289 carburetor which is what makes them so unique, rare and valuable.
