small tube

I have a 4100 with the small tube on the uderside of the top broken off,I think it's for vacuum to the secondaries.Will the secondaries still work with this tube broken off.

In my experience, there just is not enough pull with it being broken.

Fortunatley the fix is relatively easy, ESPECIALLY if you have the broken piece.

Go to the hardware store and look for some brass tubing that the piece will just fit into then carefully cut a small piece to act as a "repair sleeve". Just place the broken end into one end and the broken piece into the other and push tight together and solder it in on both ends. It will work perfectly.
