From what I've learned here this is for a '65 galaxy. What does the "H" stand for? Thanks,Bob C ( I just found one in real nice shape!)

I have come across two that were -AH. One was C5AF-AH the other C7TF-AH. If I can trust my notes both were manual choke. I have been wondering if H might indicate hand choke. So, Bob C, what type of choke does your -H carb have?

It has an auto choke, I think the cap has been replaced. The holder for the heater hose is gone or never used. The throttle shaft lever is a little different from my shop manual. I searched this forum going back 2 years, Bill has suggested it was a Galaxy or a Mercury. Someplace else here I saw that an "H" stood for Holman Moody. I need to lift the lid and see how it's jetted. Have you got BOOKS?

H is just a design change.......

Ford used the letters of the alphabet when the design was changed. C5AF-H was used on a 390 in the 1965 Fullisize Ford or Mercury. It says is is for an automatic transmission equiped car in the book. But the primary throttle shaft could have been changed.
