They are sweated on the manifold from the factory.
IF they are still there then they are probably working, being there is 90% of the battle, Most times they have rusted off.
If I told you to clean them, you would probably break them off. So just take a little throtle body cleaner or WD-40 and spray into them. Do this every couple days or so and eventually they will get cleaned.

Thanks, yes I probably would have broken them. My problem was (is) the car fires up and runs fine until it reaches about 140-150 degrees, then I get a lot of hestiation. A lot! This continues for about ten minutes then it's back to nice and smooth.
I thought maybe the hot air tube was to blame.

related to your choke not being set properly and as it warms up you go thru a brief periosd where it is out of tune.
Could be the tubes but my guess is this often happens when the carb starts to need rebuilding.
