70 351c 2v question

I rebuilt this carb last year and it never did run right. It has been sitting for quite a while and runs even worse now. Both mixture screws can be adjusted out 4-5 turns without making a difference. What would be the main problem with that? TIA, Tbolt

look at cleaning it again, sounds like it still has crap somewhere. Also check all mounting surfaces, you cant adjust anything with a vacuum leak. Good Luck

I just got back from working at my real job for a month back east, and the answers have been AWESOME.

Way to go Bob, I think you nailed it on the head.

If you can turn the idle screws that much without results, it is getting air from another source that is much easier, and/or those air sources are blocked.

I am located in the pacific NW, about as far Northwest you can get in the continental US without traversing into Canada (for all who don't konw, there is a very tiny small part of the mainland us that can only be reached via Canada IE---- Point Roberts.)
