I have a 89 mustang gt with a 302, atop i have a edelbrock torker intake and a holley 4150 the carb is a 600cfm with an electric choke and vacumm secondaries. I'm having a bit of trouble getting the car to run right under acceleration the car bogs and never really quite picks up i've checked the power valve by turning the idle screws all the way in and the car does die, i've also checked the jet size they both are number 64 jets, fuel pressure is a constant 6 pounds and engine vacumm is around 15inches. Timing is set at 10btdc. What other things should i be checking for?

Big carb, low vacuum...

sounds like a possible mismatch. I had a torker, years ago, so maybe they've changed but they used to be tall, single plenum jobs which raised the power band pretty high up the RPM scale. And even though I think your carb may be too big, the engine should eventually "catch-up" to the carb size and give you good power. Either way, I think you might want to "play" with the initial timing and/or advance curve to fix your problem. Have you checked for a vacuum leak between the mani and heads? I would think there should be more than 15" at idle. Use an UNlit propane torch around all mating surfaces w/engine idling to find any vacuum leaks.
