Hello
My name is John from Munich.
I bought a Autolite 4100 at ebay.com for my 66 Ford Mustang with 289.
And i´m know not sure for car it is.

Its marked with 1.08 6PH and on the other side H again.

I´m also looking for someone who sells parts for the Autolite 4100 and ship to Germany, because some parts are missing.
If someone has a correct 4100 for my 66 for sale please let me know!

Thanks a lot
Greetings from Munich John

Hi John from Munich. I'm John from Vancouver WA. Brings back memories of my swim in your very own Isar River, a way back in 1970. I was on a solo motorcyle tour thru northern and western europe. I tipped a few good beers there as well.

As for your carburetor. The 6PH or more completely the C6PF-H carburetor is indeed a 1.08 venturi size, which would normally be a good choice for your SBF engine. However, this carb is what they call a 'Jack of All Trades' parts counter carburetor. In otherwords Ford Parts Departments sold them to replace carbs used on the whole span of cars, both those that needed 1.08 venturis and 1.12 venturis (SBF & BBF engines) I don't know why they wouldn't supply the correct carburetor for the correct vehicle.

It is very close to the specs of carburetors installed on Big Block Fords for use in California. (high air pollution area) As such, they are poorly suited for small block Ford Engines. I wouldn't waste a lot of time and effort to obtain the missing parts for it.

Is your car an automatic or stick shift? Also, if it is an automatic, does it have the transmission kickdown linkage on the original carb or is the mechanism mounted on the rear of the intake manifold?

Let me know and I will give you a list of carb numbers to keep an eye out for that would be most suitable for your Mustang. Unfortunetly, saavy buyers know the proper applications for these carbs and bid the SBF carbs up pretty high. But with a little patience you can usually find one that suits your needs.

the 6PH 1.08 would not work very well on your 289.

I would look for 1965 and ealier Mustang 1.08's part # C5ZF- followed by a letter.

Or, you could look for a Hipo 1.12 that was made for the 289. These are very expensive though.
