| Do you own an E17 volume?
I have mine sitting here on my desk right next to me right now.
The author's foreword is signed by Paul S. L. Johnson - June 15, 1950
Bro. Jolly edited it. Bro. Johnson wrote it but was unable to have it edited and published prior to his death. And I quote from the Editor's preface in the book (Editor's preface written by Bro. Jolly):
"Among the Author's writings in the last few years before his death are some which he desired to edit and publish in a book entitled,"The Millenium." His demise prevented this; therefore the Editor rendered this service. Additional pertinent items from the Author's writings have been included and incorporated, such as "Man Asks and God Answers Questions," which were published in hundreds of newspapers, thus reaching thousands of people.......etc., etc., etc...... The editor is very glad to be privileged by the Lord's providence to present to the public this, which is the most able and complete exposition on the subject he has ever seen." etc.,etc.
"Yours in the joy of His blessed service, Raymond G. Jolly
Note: "Man Asks and God Answers Questions" is the very last chapter of the book - questions and answers Bro. Johnson had done - added at the end of the book. Also, Bro. Jolly is talking about how it's the most complete he has ever seen. He's talking about someone else's writing, not his own."
Forward clearly talks about the book itself. From the Author's foreward (signed by Bro. Johnson): "In Chapters XII and XIII we have listed many Old and New Testament passages pertinent to the Milllenium, and have given some appropriate comments thereon...." etc. He's even talking about the chapters of the book - that he wrote.
By the way, besides owning the book, I actually met and knew Bro. Jolly personally. |
