| Good. I have been working on my smile in real life as much as possible too. I have had some really tough things happen in the past year but what is really odd, is that I have actually gotten happier. I mean.....I started out upset, feeling betrayed, hurt - really hurt, etc., but then I have just decided to be happier. And, maybe I've learned to not take on other peoples' stuff - their view of me, their bad day, their crabbiness, onto me. When they are laying something on me that I know is not valid, it's not about me. And, when other people think badly of you, treat you badly, you really have to look to GOD for your value. It really makes you look to GOD. I think HE has really helped me to value myself and my day through his eyes and not anyone else's.
I heard this story from a friend who heard it on maybe Christian radio recently - about a priest who went to a newstand every day and was met by a very crabby person working there. He was crabby and irritable to the priest every morning. The priest was always friendly and happy. A friend of the priest asked him how he could stay so upbeat all the time when this guy was so crabby. The priest said something like: "He's having a bad day." "I'm having a good day." I love that!!!
Have you had any of that kind of experience?
Note: I am working on looking up on other things you've talked about but right this moment - can't, cause too busy with work. |
