<<My question is: why don't you use the entire length of the Low Passage, from the step all the way to the Kings Chamber? 330.042 You are leaving out a part of the total calculation by your method. If we make a complete measure from the step point, which could be 1914; we would reach 2242 and a half at the Kings Chamber entrance. This seems appropriate to me. If I am wrong please correct me.>>
2242 AD would draw the harvest out a whole lot longer than Bible students ever expected for God to wrap things up and usher in the times of restitution.
Either you're showing you've learned God doesn't know the meaning of the word 'hurry'...
or you're trying to extend the high calling another two or three hundred years.
Should we look closer at your question? Well, okay, that top level does have a 330 inch measurement. Can't be denied.
Now maybe Bro. Russell or the Edgar brothers looked at this 330 inch measurement many years ago, and maybe they asked themselves, "Wait a minute, could that mean the First Resurrection will take 330 years total? Each segment might show a certain stage in the harvest. The transition points would be events having to do with the Lord's people as a whole. And then do those Antechamber and Second Low Passage depict additional stages? All adding up to 330 years? All that will take up over a third of the millennial reign!"
And this might have been a reasonable surmise... except events didn't take such a path. Notice that if you are correct (a pretty big IF):
* If you are correct then the First Resurrection hasn't taken place and the saints do not reign with Christ 'the thousand years'.
* If you are correct we would need to forget most of Bro. Russell's ministry.
* If you are correct then the plowman did not overtake the reaper in 1914.
* If you are correct then the Time of Trouble didn't start in 1914 as Bro. Russell predicted it would.
* If you are correct then the Time of the End will last over 400 years (making it some long 'time of the end'!).
* If you are correct then this generation SHALL pass away "before all these things be done." |
